The 1st Earth Battalion Field Manual The manual was made to be all encompassing of the activities going on in California and Hawaii from 1975-1982. Allowing the Department of Defense to extinguish the idea of warfare using supernatural powers. The DOD sent LTC Jim Channon to investigate anything to do with alternative human potential, martial arts, and ancient Eastern philosophies. Like anything, take what you can from this manual. We realize that carrying lambs to your enemies is not the best idea. Regardless, here are his findings. |

Traveling With A
Parachute The Airport security may not load your rig if you check it, so pay attention to airport announcements after check-in. If you take your chute as carry on, at least you are in control of it. Either way, arrive 30 minutes earlier than normal to deal with complications. Pack your rig so that it fits easily in the overhead compartment. Tie the reserve handle with the chest strap or a brightly colored pull cord. Place the hook knife in your checked luggage. Make sure the AAD is turned off. Carry copies of the web pages regarding travel with parachutes from both the TSA and USPA sites and a one page letter prepared by TSA regarding parachute rigs. Stay with your chute as it passes through the x-ray machine, and be prepared to explain the components that show up in the x-ray. Carry a pull-up cord and spare stow bands in case your rig needs to be unpacked and inspected. If you are having problems with the TSA screeners, request for a supervisor to review the "parachute screening section of the Screening Checkpoint Standard Operating Procedure." COL Rowe Combat Survival Kit Colonel James "Nick" Rowe was a Special Forces Officer. He was a North Viatnamese POW for five years, before escaping and making his way back to US forces on his own. He founded and taught the US Special Forces Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) Program. He was gunned down while on assignment in the Philippines by guerilla insurgents. Nick Rowe 8 February 1938 - 21 April 1989. Anyone venturing into an uninhabited and potentially hostile area should carry a survival pack. The contents of the pack should be dictated by the type of terrain you are entering, and should provide the means to protect life in the event of a survival situation occurring. It's good to build your own survival kit. Commercial kits compromise the quality of the components to lower the overall price. |

FormFlow Filler Form
Library The featured file is a self-extracting zip file of all common military forms. If you don't want to download this large Form Library, you can download individual forms from the Army Publishing Directorate (APD). FormFlow Filler is legacy software software that is still used by the DOD. Adobe, the publishers of FormFlow, have publicly announced that they will no longer be updating this software or answering customer service questions about it. Patches and updates are available from Adobe. As of November 2004, the Army has selected the PureEdge Viewer as a replacement for FormFlow Filler. Silanis ApproveIt software will be used in conjunction with PureEdge Viewer to create a digital signature. Around January 2006, APD plans to sever all technical support for FormFlow. You can download FormFlow and PureEdge Viewer from the Army Small Computer Program (ASCP), if you have a valid AKO email address. Click on "No Cost Software" at the top of the screen, then click on "Adobe Capture Software" or "PureEdge Viewer" on the sidebar. |
